But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
God likes to keep things simple and powerful. Man likes to make things complicated so he can somehow take credit for it. The simplicity of Christ is a beautiful thing. Jesus is your saviour and you don't just get "saved" when your born again and then you have to fend for yourselves. No Jesus is your saviour right now!!!! And whatever you are facing he is ready to save you from it. When a lifeguard saves a drowning child does he stop to quiz her on how she got herself into this situation. Does he stop and make sure she is qualified to be saved? No he saves her!!! Don't you think Jesus is a more noble and honorable saviour than any lifeguard. Whatever you are facing Jesus plunges into your battle and fearlessly pulls you out. That is the simplicity of Christ and we have lost sight of that.
The devil really likes to complicate things. Especially your relationship with God. Jesus is your hero and he saves you because of who he is not because you "qualify" for his promises by earning them with your goodness. It's his goodness and his blood that has qualified you. All you have to do is believe that he is that good. So call on your saviour today and enjoy the simplicity of Christ.
